Society for Occupational Health Psychology
SOHP is the primary professional organization for Occupational Health Psychology.
Academy of Management
The Academy of Management is a professional society primarily composed of professors who conduct research and teach management in colleges, universities, or research institutes and doctoral students who are pursuing PhD's in management. Members also include management consultants and managers from a variety of business settings. The purpose of the Academy is to foster the general advancement of research, learning, teaching, and practice in the management field
American Psychological Association - Psychology at Work
At this site, the American Psychological Association (APA) provides the most recent results of research related to work-related stress and presents recommendations for avoiding and dealing with stressful situations at work.
American Society of Safety Engineers Foundation
Founded in 1911, ASSE is the oldest and largest professional safety organization. Its 33,000 members manage, supervise and consult on safety, health, and environmental issues in industry, insurance, government and education. This site provides information on chapter and section services, educational opportunities, practice specialties, safety standards, and publications.
Biomechanics World-Wide
Biomechanics World Wide is designed to assist all persons in their search for information on the broad topic of Biomechanics. Generally it points to other biomechanics and related sites as well as files of relevant information. It is also points to the individual 'home pages' of biomechanists in the world who wish to share their related knowledge and experiences
Human Factors and Ergonomics Society
The Society's mission is to promote the discovery and exchange of knowledge concerning the characteristics of human beings that are applicable to the design of systems and devices of all kinds. The Society furthers serious consideration of knowledge about the assignment of appropriate functions for humans and machines. It advocates the systematic use of such knowledge to achieve compatibility in the design of interactive systems of people, machines, and environments to ensure their effectiveness, safety, and ease of performance.
International Society of Biomechanics
The International Society of Biomechanics (ISB) was formed to promote the study of all areas of biomechanics at the international level, although special emphasis is given to the biomechanics of Human Movement. The Society encourages international contacts amongst scientists, promotes the dissemination of knowledge, and forms liaisons with national organizations. The Society's membership includes scientists from a variety of disciplines including anatomy, physiology, engineering (mechanical, industrial aerospace, etc.), orthopedics, rehabilitation medicine, sport science and medicine, ergonomics, electro-physiological kinesiology and others.
Society for Human Resource Management - Safety, Health, and Wellness
The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) is the leading voice of the human resource profession. SHRM provides education and information services, conferences and seminars, government and media representation, online services and publications to more than 150,000 professional and student members throughout the world. This site provides informational links related to issues of employee safety, health, and well-being.
Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology (SIOP)
The Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology is a Division within APA that is also an organizational affiliate of APS. The Society's goal is to promote human welfare through the various applications of psychology to all types of organizations providing goods and services, such as manufacturing concerns, commercial enterprises, labor unions or trade associations, and public agencies. The purposes of the Society are scientific, professional, and educational and not for financial gain.
Work and Family Researchers Network
The Work and Family Researchers Network is an international membership organization of interdisciplinary work and family researchers. The WFRN also welcomes the participation of policy makers and practitioners as it seeks to promote knowledge and understanding of work and family issues among the community of global stakeholders.

Bureau of Labor Statistics:
Provides national statistics related to occupational safety and health.
Centers for Disease Control and Prevention:
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is recognized as the lead federal agency for protecting the health and safety of people - at home and abroad, providing credible information to enhance health decisions, and promoting health through strong partnerships. CDC serves as the national focus for developing and applying disease prevention and control, environmental health, and health promotion and education activities designed to improve the health of the people of the United States.
National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH):
The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) is the Federal agency responsible for conducting research and making recommendations for the prevention of work-related disease and injury. The Institute is part of the Centers for Disease Control (CDC). NIOSH is responsible for conducting research on the full scope of occupational disease and injury ranging from lung disease in miners to carpal tunnel syndrome in computer users.
United States Department of Labor:
Provides general information on the Department of Labor as well as information on safety and health standards, substance abuse programs, and employment laws and regulations

International Labour Organization:
The International Labour Organization outlines standards, principles and rights at work. It further presents information relevant to issues such as crisis response and reconstruction, safety, and skills knowledge and employability.
Job Accommodation Network:
The Job Accommodation Network (JAN) is not a job placement service, but an international toll-free consulting service that provides information about job accommodations and the employability of people with disabilities. JAN also provides information regarding the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
